The Jamestowne Society is an educational, historical, and patriotic organization for people descended from early settlers who lived or held colonial government positions in Jamestowne, Virginia, before 1700, or who invested in its establishment. Based in Williamsburg, Virginia, the Society connects members with the history of early Jamestown and supports research, education, and preservation. Its activities include meetings, site visits, tours, commemorative events, and heritage programming, as well as resources for researching qualifying ancestors, including lineage papers, historical records, and a society library.
The Society also funds an annual graduate fellowship focused on Colonial Virginia before 1700 and supports the restoration of historic records and the preservation of colonial sites.
