Jamie Watts is a runner, writer, and professional communicator based in the Washington, D. C., area. Living with spastic diplegia cerebral palsy, which affects her balance, coordination, muscle tone, and leg strength, she began running in 2012 to improve her health and prepare for a trip to Italy.

Since then, she has taken on ambitious racing goals, completing dozens of road races, multiple half marathons, and her first marathon, the New Jersey Marathon, in 2018.
