JÄMSÄN JÄÄHALLI

Jämsänjokilaakson jäähalli Oy operates Jämsä Ice Hall, a sports and event venue in Paunu Sports Park, beside the Jämsänjoki River. Built in 1994, the arena serves local ice hockey clubs, recreational teams, schools, daycare groups and young athletes in Gradia’s sports coaching programme. Jämsänkosken Ilves uses the hall as its home venue.

The facility provides bookable ice time, with reservations requested at least two days in advance, and hosts free public skating and stick sessions each week. Visitors can check the online ice schedule for session times and opening hours. The hall also offers meeting-room reservations and has hosted hockey and floorball tournaments, figure-skating performances, fairs, exhibitions and practice matches.

It accommodates 920 spectators for sporting events and up to 2,500 people for fairs. In summer 2024, a flexible rink board system was installed to improve conditions and safety for ice-sport users. The company works with the City of Jämsä and promotes safer-space principles, alongside published venue rules and practical guidance for users
