The Jane Lemon Foundation is a charitable trust established in memory of Jane Lemon QC, a much-loved and successful member of Keating Chambers from 1994 to 2019. Founded after her sudden death in April 2019, the charity supports causes that mattered to Jane: legal education, opportunities for young people and allergy research. Its founding trustees are Mark Hepburn, Sir Vivian Ramsey, Nick M. Child and David Thomas KC, who oversee the use of its funds.
The Foundation provides educational awards and support to pupils at Jane’s former school, King Edward VI High School for Girls in Birmingham, and contributes to Oxford’s Dean’s Scholars Fund, assisting postgraduate law students over a three-year period. It also supports Anstee Bridge, a Kingston charity helping young people experiencing mental health challenges build confidence and reconnect with education, as well as Anaphylaxis UK and Place2Be. To raise funds, the Foundation organises events, including a gala dinner, and welcomes donations through JustGiving or direct bank transfer.
