Jankko

Loimaan Jankko ry is a Finnish sports club that has brought opportunities for exercise and community participation to the Loimaa region for around 80 years. Founded in 1945, the club supports activities in skiing and biathlon, athletics, and orienteering, serving both young participants and recreational athletes. Its ski program attracts many children to beginner events, while a small group of active athletes continues the club’s athletics tradition.

Orienteering is a major focus for recreational sport: Jankko organizes Torstairastit, seasonal evening events, and winter night orienteering, which together draw thousands of participants each year. The club also contributes to competitive sport by helping organize major events, including the 2024 Nuorten Jukola relay in Virttaa. Jankko publishes training information, competition results, and achievement records, and provides details for prospective members.
