Jan Mapes Fine Art showcases the bronze sculptures and oil paintings of contemporary Western artist Jan Mapes. Drawing on more than forty years of life in a rural ranch community, Mapes brings firsthand knowledge of working cattle horseback and a deep connection to the land and its wildlife to her work. Her sculptures and paintings portray the people, animals, and experiences of the American West with attention to emotion, gesture, and detail.
The collection includes bronze sculptures and original oil paintings, with subjects ranging from horses, cattle, cowboys, and cowgirls to Native American themes and Western wildlife. Functional sculptures are also available. Visitors can browse featured and new pieces, shop by collection, or inquire about commissioned oil paintings. The website presents artwork for purchase, with featured pieces listed at a range of prices, and advertises free shipping sitewide. Through her art, Mapes aims to honor a way of life closely tied to the land and its creatures, creating works that invite viewers into a moment, memory, or scene from the West.
