Janovky is a ski resort in the village of Zuberec, in the Orava region of Slovakia’s Western Tatras. Set at elevations of 750 to 1,000 metres, it offers six slopes with a combined length of 5.8 kilometres and a vertical drop of 250 metres. The runs are graded easy to intermediate, making the resort suitable for a range of recreational skiers. Five lifts, including children’s lifts, provide transport for up to 3,200 people per hour. Selected slopes are illuminated for evening skiing, while nearby groomed cross-country routes extend for eight kilometres when natural snow conditions allow.
The resort offers a children’s ski school, private lessons and school ski courses, as well as ski and snowboard rentals and ski servicing. Visitors can also find a buffet, an après-ski bar, accommodation at the Janovky tourist hostel and free parking beside the lifts. An online shop sells skipasses, and the website provides live cameras and resort information.
