About Israel Japan Academic Cultural Relations | Kyoto
The Association for the Advancement of Israel-Japan Academic and Cultural Relations (IJAC) is a nonprofit organization founded in 2014. Our mission is to strengthen academic and cultural ties between Israeli and Japanese communities through various initiatives. We aim to provide opportunities for scholars and students to engage in meaningful exchanges, fostering a better understanding of each other's cultures.
One of our future projects is the establishment of the Israel-Japan Research and Culture Center, serving as a hub for academic and cultural activities. The center will facilitate connections between Japanese Studies scholars globally and Israeli scholars, contributing to mutual learning and collaboration. Additionally, we offer a PhD Fellowship for Israeli students interested in studying Japanese religions in Japan, promoting academic research and intercultural dialogue.
