The Japan Masters Athletics Association promotes lifelong sports to enhance the physical and mental well-being of its members, ultimately aiming to improve health lifespan and reduce medical costs. Open to anyone aged 18 or older, Masters Athletics encourages participants of all abilities to enjoy friendly competition in their age class, which is segmented into five-year intervals. This structure provides opportunities for record-breaking and podium finishes, while fostering camaraderie among diverse age groups.

Participants can compete in the All Japan Championships and, for those aged 35 and above, even in Asia and World Championships. Members are free to explore different athletic disciplines, turning the focus on personal goals, whether it’s improving fitness, achieving competitive records, or simply enjoying social connections. The association not only supports competitive aspirations but also emphasizes fun and well-being in sports.
