JAPI, or the Japan Association for Promotion of Internationalization, is a non-profit organization dedicated to achieving internal internationalization in Japan. With over 30,000 foreign students studying in Japan, JAPI recognizes the value and importance of these graduates, many of whom go on to play significant roles in their home countries. However, there is currently a lack of post-graduate tracking and understanding of their activities after leaving Japan.

To address this issue, JAPI has created a platform for active students and graduates worldwide to showcase their achievements and foster connections with the Japanese government, universities, and businesses. Led by President Takayasu Omura, JAPI aims to facilitate a more inclusive and welcoming environment for those who want to study, work, or visit Japan, contributing to the internationalization of the country
