The Jaques Art Center (pronounced 'jay-kweez' - in Aitkin, Minnesota celebrates the visual arts in North Cental Minnesota by presenting paintings, art exhibits, workshops, and other programming to all ages and backgrounds. We collect and exhibit the art of renowned wildlife artist, naturalist and former Aitkin County resident, Francis Lee Jaques (1887-1969).

About Jaques Art
The Jaques Art Center, located in Aitkin, MN, is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving the artistic heritage of the community. With a mission to create an inclusive art space, the center offers rotating exhibits and classes for all ages and backgrounds. The center is open from Tuesday to Saturday, 11am to 4pm, and admission is always free.
The heart of the center lies in the work of renowned wildlife artist and former Aitkin County resident, Francis Lee Jaques. Jaques, a self-taught artist with a passion for wildlife, spent his career depicting outdoor scenes and illustrating books on natural history. The center proudly exhibits Jaques' artwork, which includes dioramas and scratch board drawings, as well as offering T-shirts, note cards, and prints featuring his art.
The Jaques Art Center relies on donations and support from the community to continue its mission.
