Jardín Selecto

Jardín Selecto is a family-run nursery in San Juan, Puerto Rico, with three generations of experience cultivating plants suited to the tropics. The business offers a broad selection of ornamental plants, rare and collectible exotic species, and bonsai, including shohin and pre-bonsai cultivated on site. Customers can also find pots in materials such as clay and ceramic, gardening tools, substrates, fertilizers, and pest-control products. Each plant comes with a care card to help customers maintain it.

Beyond plant sales, Jardín Selecto provides individualized gardening services. These include planting a chosen plant in a preferred pot, bonsai pruning and repotting, and plant-care guidance through its “plant doctor” service, where customers can send a photo for advice. The nursery also hosts bonsai events and supplies plants wholesale to nurseries, hotels, and landscapers; wholesale accounts require a minimum order of $500. Located on Carr. 181 in San Juan, Jardín Selecto is open Monday through Saturday and closed on Sundays.
