Järvenpään Palo is a lively, community-oriented orienteering club based in Järvenpää, Finland. Founded in 1914, the association welcomes people interested in the sport, from beginners discovering navigation to experienced competitors. Its activities combine outdoor exercise, skills development and the enjoyment of finding checkpoints.
The club offers regular recreational orienteering events, including weekly courses, Keski-Uusimaa events and the JäPa forest sprint series. It also runs introductory courses and the Hippo orienteering school, with activities for children and young people as well as opportunities for adults to learn. Training sessions, group runs and junior indoor activities help members practise throughout the year. The club produces and provides orienteering maps, and supports school orienteering in Järvenpää.
Järvenpään Palo also organises competitions, including the Elosprintti event, and its teams take part in major relay races such as Venla and Jukola. With activities open to members and newcomers, the club offers a welcoming way to get involved in orienteering and local outdoor life.
