Jasmin Bhawra is an Assistant Professor, population health researcher, evaluator, and advocate with a passion for promoting health equity. Born and raised in Toronto, Ontario, Jasmin's multicultural background has given her a deep understanding of the strengths and challenges faced by immigrant and racialized communities. Her research focuses on historically marginalized populations, including BIPOC communities and children and youth, using a citizen science approach and mixed methods.

With a health equity lens, Jasmin's work addresses active living, nutrition, chronic disease prevention, and health policy. She collaborates closely with community partners to develop inclusive program and policy solutions to complex health problems. Jasmin is the Director of the CHANGE Research Lab and also has extensive experience as a program evaluator for various organizations.

Additionally, she leads the India team in the Global Report Card initiative, providing valuable insights into physical activity among children and adolescents. With her expertise and dedication, Jasmin Bhawra is committed to amplifying citizens' voices and creating a more equitable and healthy society
