About Japanese American Veterans Association
Japanese American Veterans Association (JAVA) is an educational, patriotic, and fraternal organization committed to upholding and expanding American freedom. While the majority of our members are Japanese Americans, we warmly welcome individuals from all backgrounds, including veterans from WWII, Korea, Viet Nam, and the Gulf Wars, as well as their widows, dependents, spouses, friends, relatives, and supporters. Our mission is multifaceted.
We provide assistance to veteran members and their families in times of need. We honor the memory of fallen Japanese American veterans and educate the public on their invaluable contributions through various programs, including speeches and discussion panels. JAVA also organizes social and recreational activities to celebrate national holidays, fostering a patriotic spirit.
Additionally, we proudly offer financial aid and scholarships to deserving dependents of deceased Japanese American veterans. We collaborate with esteemed veterans' organizations such as the Japanese American Military Intelligence Service, the 442nd Regimental Combat Team, and the 100th Infantry Battalion. Join us in promoting patriotism, preserving history, and supporting our veteran community
