About JAWiC : Jamaican Women in Coffee
JAWiC, short for Jamaican Women in Coffee, is a dynamic brand dedicated to empowering and connecting women in the coffee industry. As a registered charitable organization in Jamaica, JAWiC aims to recognize and celebrate women's contributions while paving the way for a sustainable and equitable future. At the heart of their mission is the development of a supportive community, harnessing collective strength to bring about positive change in the coffee industry.
JAWiC offers a range of resources and initiatives, including a platform for networking and knowledge-sharing, opportunities for leadership and entrepreneurial skill development, and access to markets for women's coffees. Serving as a national chapter of the International Women's Coffee Alliance since April 2019, JAWiC represents Jamaican women across different coffee sectors, from farming to roasting. By breaking down barriers and fostering inclusivity, JAWiC has become a hub for all Jamaican women in coffee, both locally and in the diaspora.
