Jay Foundation is a Ghanaian charitable organisation dedicated to supporting premature babies, their mothers, and the neonatal facilities that care for them. Established in November 2019, the foundation brings together committed volunteer professionals who contribute their time and resources to improve the well-being of preterm infants and families. It advocates for “miracle” babies and provides support that includes counselling for mothers of premature and sick babies.

The foundation’s activities include hospital outreaches and donations to neonatal intensive care units (NICUs), as well as support for kangaroo mother care units. Since its inception, it reports donating more than GHc 60,000 to NICUs at six hospitals in Ghana. Its work also includes World Prematurity Day celebrations, radio and television outreach, documentaries and educational videos, and other community initiatives.

Jay Foundation aims to help reduce neonatal mortality by supporting better structures for mothers and babies, including mothers’ hostels and NICUs. Its longer-term ambition is to establish a surgical facility for neonates.
