Jay Philbin Hockey

Jay Philbin Hockey Development is a hockey training business based in Newburyport, Massachusetts, serving players of all ages across the North Shore. Founded by Jay Philbin, the program draws on his experience playing varsity hockey at Cushing Academy and Division I Merrimack College. Its mission is to help athletes build their skills, reach their potential, and develop a lasting enthusiasm for the game.

The business offers hockey camps and training sessions that combine on-ice instruction with off-ice athletic development. Training covers fundamental power skating, high-speed puck handling, goal scoring, and small-area and battle games. Off-ice work focuses on speed, agility, balance, mobility, strength, and explosiveness. Camps are held at The Graf Rink in Newburyport, with sessions organized around skating and agility or puck handling and scoring. Jay Philbin Hockey Development also provides private sessions, giving players another option for focused skill development. Through structured training and an energetic, supportive approach, the program aims to help athletes improve both as hockey players and as people.
