ジャパンベビーシッターサービス

Japan Babysitter Service (JBS) is a childcare company founded in 1972 and described as Japan’s first babysitting company. Based in Tokyo, it serves families in the capital and surrounding areas, combining long experience with personalized care. A dedicated coordinator listens to each family’s needs and arranges a sitter suited to the child’s personality and the household’s lifestyle, aiming to support children’s growth as well as meet practical scheduling needs.

JBS offers regular and occasional babysitting, care for children with disabilities or illness, support after illness, assistance with hospital visits and pickups, and bathing and household-help options. Its doula service supports mothers during pregnancy, including periods of morning sickness or poor health, as well as after childbirth. Other services include online sitting, after-school care, a childcare room at its office, and event childcare for groups of four or more children. Through Child Handwork workshops, children can take part in simple cooking, sewing, and craft activities designed to encourage creativity and consideration for others.
