JCCCA

The Japan Center for Climate Change Actions (JCCCA) is Japan’s national center for promoting action to prevent global warming, established under Article 39 of the Act on Promotion of Global Warming Countermeasures. It connects communities and people with information and resources that support climate action, working alongside a nationwide network of 58 regional centers.

JCCCA provides accessible information about climate change, including explanations of global warming, its causes and projected impacts, greenhouse gas emissions, and developments in Japanese and international policy. Its resources include educational materials, classroom tools, ready-to-use charts and illustrations, photographs, slides, pamphlets, and online games and videos. The center also conducts research on measures to curb greenhouse gas emissions and estimates the CO2 reductions associated with climate initiatives.

For schools and educators, JCCCA offers the Global Warming Learning Box and guidance for climate education. It shares practical information for individuals, businesses, and communities, and promotes Decokatsu, Japan’s national campaign supporting carbon neutrality by 2050 and emissions-reduction goals for 2030.
