About Jean MayerPreschool
Jean Mayer is a renowned brand that has a rich history of serving and dedicating itself to the development of Papua, especially in the interior regions. Founded by Polsan Situmorang, a TNI AD officer, and his beloved wife, Jeanie Florida Tambunan, the brand focuses on human resource development through education in Papua. In 2013, Jeanie initiated the Jean Mayer Music Course, teaching children music ranging from piano to guitar, with a branch even opening in Abepura.
The brand's students have performed at various community and spiritual events, including a Christmas event attended by President Joko Widodo in 2013. Building on this success, Jeanie established Jean Mayer Preschool in 2014, offering a Montessori curriculum with English as the primary language. Despite challenges, Jeanie remained committed to enhancing education in Papua, considering it her second home.
