Jeannette Lategahn – Reiten für Körper und Seele is an equine therapy and riding business serving individuals and families from the Unkhof in Menden, Germany. Founded by Jeannette Lategahn in October 2009, the centre brings people and horses together in a welcoming setting beside the woods. Its herd includes horses and ponies of different sizes, supported by a dedicated team.
The programme ranges from equine therapy and first encounters with horses to riding lessons, trail rides and carriage rides. Children can also celebrate birthdays with the ponies and a planned activity programme. To make riding more accessible, the centre has a mounting aid and a lift that helps wheelchair users get onto a horse more safely and easily.
The Unkhof offers large stalls, open stabling, extensive pasture, an indoor riding arena and an experience trail through the woods. The business also holds an annual festival, through which it has supported regional social initiatives.
