Jedna Chwila

Stowarzyszenie Jedna Chwila is a Polish association supporting people with disabilities through sport, rehabilitation, volunteering and social inclusion. Its work promotes the idea that disability need not limit participation, independence or achievement. The association organizes adapted physical activities, including conditioning and strength training and functional exercise, delivered in accessible sports facilities with qualified trainers. These programs aim to improve fitness, everyday independence and confidence, while treating sport as an important complement to rehabilitation.

Jedna Chwila also develops initiatives that connect participants, volunteers and organizations. Through its Akademia Wolontariatu project, delivered in partnership with Stowarzyszenie CREO, it provides volunteer training and workshops and advisory support for organizations working with people with disabilities. Its activities have included Iron Camp sports camps, the Iron Senior intergenerational project and the Sport Zaciera Różnice (“Sport Erases Differences”) social campaign. In partnership with Polska Misja Medyczna, the Iron Help project has focused on supporting people in Ukraine and Poland who lost limbs and need assistance returning to fitness.
