Jeffco Aeromod'lers

Jefco Aeromod'lers is a vibrant community of radio-controlled (RC) aircraft enthusiasts, founded in 1959 and chartered by the Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA). The club has grown to nearly 300 members of varied ages and skill levels, from young beginners to seasoned pilots aged over 80. Members engage in flying a diverse array of models, including scale Warbirds, gliders, turbine-powered planes, and helicopters, with wingspans ranging from 14” to 120”.

Dedicated to promoting safe and responsible model aircraft construction and flying, Jefco Aeromod'lers provides valuable resources and guidance to its members, reinforcing the AMA’s objectives. The club operates from the Chatfield Aerodrome, featuring two paved runways, concrete pit areas, and amenities such as picnic tables and benches for comfortable gatherings. Membership requires current AMA affiliation, ensuring that all members have access to essential education, events, and liability insurance. Join us to explore the exhilarating world of model aviation in a supportive and engaging environment.
