About Jesuit Justice & Ecology Network Africa
Jesuit Justice & Ecology Network Africa (JENA) is a diverse community of faith-inspired Jesuit NGOs dedicated to unlocking Africa's full potential. They aim to create a just, poverty-free, and ecologically regenerative Africa, free from direct, cultural, and structural violence. JENA provides coordination and leadership to a network of fifteen African Jesuit NGOs, supporting development and advocacy organizations.
They engage in network projects, campaigns, and tasks, as well as research, analysis, and communication. JENA represents Jesuits in Africa on global policy matters related to social justice, ecology, and the economy. They are committed to challenging unjust policies, promoting respect for people's rights, and ending extreme poverty.
With their moral compass and rich network, JENA reaches a wide array of populations and collaborates closely with policy-makers and impacted communities. Through evidence-based work and a century of experience, JENA has built a reputation in development policy and social analysis that influences world leaders and contributes to shaping a better world
