Jojo Moyes is an acclaimed author and former journalist known for her compelling narratives and emotional depth, particularly highlighted in her bestseller "Me Before You," which was adapted into a successful film. Moyes’ latest novel, "The Giver of Stars," transports readers to 1930s Kentucky, where a group of determined women known as the Pack Horse Librarians defy societal norms to deliver books to remote Appalachians, illuminating the power of literature in challenging times.

Despite her successes, Moyes has faced controversy regarding alleged similarities between "The Giver of Stars" and Kim Michele Richardson's "The Book Woman of Troublesome Creek." While some critics have accused her of plagiarism, Moyes and her publisher maintain that her work is a unique contribution to historical fiction, rooted in thorough research of the packhorse librarian initiative. Through her storytelling, Moyes continues to engage audiences, ensuring her books resonate in contemporary discussions about literature, culture, and women's experiences.
