Jens Esch Huforthopädie

Jens Esch Huforthopädie is a specialist hoof-care service based in the Aachen region, led by Jens Esch, a trained hoof orthopedist and passionate horse owner. The practice focuses on the wellbeing of horses through careful, anatomy-informed hoof care, supported by Jens’s ongoing personal and professional development in hoof treatment and technique.

Huforthopädie aims to address hoof imbalances gradually, without horseshoes, using controlled trimming and rasping to encourage a more natural hoof shape. The approach considers the hoof’s anatomy and the body’s capacity for bone remodeling, seeking to improve symmetry and support balanced weight distribution while avoiding abrupt changes that could strain tendons, ligaments, or joints. Care is guided by animal welfare and the goal of supporting long-term health for equines.

Jens provides appointments across the Städteregion Aachen, with longer-distance visits considered when a group at one stable coordinates or a regional route can be arranged. Appointments can be requested by phone or through the website’s contact form.
