Founded by American-born designer Jensin Okunishi, our studio aims to create a dialogue between color and memory. Jensin's passion for color and texture led her to the Rhode Island School of Design, where she graduated with a BFA in Textile Design. At Jensin Okunishi Studio, we celebrate colorful contemporary design and emphasize quality craftsmanship.

Each rug is made to order and entirely handcrafted by our trusted artisans. Our hand knotted rugs are woven in Nepal from soft, yet durable Himalayan wool, while our hand tufted rugs are woven in India using New Zealand wool. In addition to our commitment to quality, we prioritize the wellbeing of our artisans and their communities.
