JES Avanti Foundation

The JES Avanti Foundation, Inc. is an organization focused on wildlife conservation, environmental preservation, animal rescue and rehabilitation, education, and outdoor recreation. Its mission combines hands-on conservation work with educational programs and community support. The foundation designs, carries out, and supports activities that help disabled and economically disadvantaged people participate in hunting, conservation, and outdoor recreation. It also provides need-based humanitarian assistance, including equipment such as walkers and wheelchairs.

The organization supports education in wildlife conservation, animal rescue and rehabilitation, ecology, and natural resource management. It finances and manages four private locations: Bluff Point Refuge in Southern Maryland, Goshen River Retreat in west-central Virginia, Heritage: A Gathering Place in northern North Carolina, and Tharp Creek Reserve in southwestern Virginia. It also has a Richmond office in Chesterfield, Virginia.

Projects and collaborations include an annual NWTF Wheelin’ Sportsmen event, educational programming, Southern Maryland Audubon Society activities, and Vacations for Vets events. The foundation also features initiatives involving dolphin monitoring, osprey observation, bison conservation, and the Motus Wildlife Tracking System.
