About JETAA Jamaica
JETAA Jamaica, the Japan Exchange and Teaching Programme Alumni Association of Jamaica, is a non-profit organization established in 2002. This association comprises individuals who have served as Assistant Language Teachers in Japan under the JET Programme. Their mission is to strengthen ties between Jamaica and Japan, promote Japanese culture in Jamaica, and support current and former Jamaican JET participants.
With a dedicated Executive Committee and general membership, JETAA Jamaica engages in various activities like participating in cultural events, orienting new JET participants, and publishing newsletters. They also aim to share insights about the JET Programme and life in Japan with prospective participants. By fostering connections with Jamaican JETs in Japan, JETAA Jamaica helps individuals prepare for post-program life and reintegrate into Jamaican society.
