Jetstream2 is a cloud-based research computing platform from Indiana University, built to make high-performance computing and advanced software more accessible. It offers on-demand virtual computing resources that support data analysis, scientific discovery, and artificial intelligence research, helping users work at projects of many different scales—even with limited experience using supercomputers. The platform provides 8 petaflops of virtual supercomputing power and includes discipline-specific applications.

Researchers can also create virtual machines configured to resemble a lab workstation or personal computer, while gaining access to substantially greater computing capacity. Jetstream2’s services include support for AI workloads, with a large language model inference service, as well as GPU resources and a dashboard for monitoring scarce resources. The project offers documentation, user onboarding, technical information, research highlights, and community updates to help users get started and stay informed.
