Jeugdweek Aalst-Waalre is a community-run summer event for children and young people from Aalst and Waalre. Held each year during the final week of the summer holiday, it brings participants together for a lively programme of games, activities, adventure and entertainment. The event welcomes children and young people aged 5 to 15, with programme options for younger children aged 5–8, older children aged 9–12 and a middle age group. The 2026 edition is scheduled for 17–21 August.
The week is made possible by a close-knit team of around 75 to 100 volunteers, who help organise the event, supervise children and support activities. The organisation welcomes new volunteers and offers a range of ways to get involved. Participation passes are sold locally at De Zuivelhoeve in Aalst and Bakkerij Waalre, with further information provided about registration and ticket sales. Local businesses and individual supporters can also sponsor the event, helping fund activities for children in the community while gaining visibility among local residents.
