Jeunes Pages is an association guided by the principles of popular education, using reading and writing to help make voices heard that are often underrepresented in mainstream media. Its work supports children and teenagers as they create and share newspapers, radio programmes and podcasts. The association also runs reading committees and poetry workshops in secondary schools, bringing participants into contact with contemporary poetry through collaborative, engaging activities.
For wider audiences, Jeunes Pages organises readings and meetings focused on contemporary poetry, and presents a performance exploring women’s occupations that have been overlooked or made invisible. Its projects include school and inter-school publications, thematic journals, holiday newspapers, podcasts and poetry events, developed with young people and educational communities.
Jeunes Pages places particular value on enjoyment, play, autonomy and co-creation, viewing them as important drivers of social change. Rather than imposing a fixed method, the association aims to discover and shape its approaches together with participants. Its activities connect creative expression with opportunities to publish, perform and share ideas across schools and communities.
