The Electronic Encyclopedia "Jewish Petersburg" serves as a comprehensive digital resource dedicated to the rich historical and cultural contributions of the Jewish diaspora in Saint Petersburg. Spearheaded by a team of esteemed scholars and researchers in Judaica and local history, the project aims to systematically present the story of Jewish life in the city. The initiative features a user-friendly online portal that houses a treasure trove of original articles, images, audio, and video documents sourced from both public and private archives.

This interactive platform not only highlights key Jewish cultural and religious sites but also showcases an electronic map detailing the topography of Jewish presence in Petersburg. Available in both Russian and English, the encyclopedia aims to foster discussions around multiculturalism and tolerance through its educational resources, which will also be shared at various conferences and seminars. With ongoing support from the non-profit Foundation for the Popularization of Jewish Cultural Heritage, this pioneering project invites contributions from the community to enrich the encyclopedia further.
