The Jewish Genealogical Society of Tampa Bay is a member society of the International Association of Jewish Genealogical Societies. It brings together people interested in learning how to research their Jewish family roots and helps bring family history to life. The Society supports its community through meetings, educational guidance, and member resources designed to help genealogists make progress on their research.
Members can take part in sessions with Society experts to work through genealogical “brick walls,” access a continually updated collection of research resources, and use meeting handouts. The organization also shares genealogy news, including updates about newly added databases and other developments of interest to family researchers. Membership is available to individuals and families, with dues supporting the Society and providing access to members-only materials.
Prospective members can join online, while current members can renew their membership. The Society also encourages community involvement through food donations benefiting the William and Sally Israel Food Pantry, operated by Gulf Coast Jewish Family and Community Services, which provides food support to people facing insecurity
