About Jordan Insurance Federation
The Jordan Insurance Federation (JIF), established in 1989 by a Royal Decree, functions as a professional entity for the insurance sector. It works in cooperation with the Insurance Commission to achieve its specified objectives. In 2008, the Federation underwent a restructuring, which redefined its goals and allowed the Chairman, Vice Chairman, and Managing Directors to be candidates for the Board of Directors elections.
The number of Board Members was also increased. JIF traces its roots back to 1956 when it was founded as the Jordan Association for Insurance Companies, serving as the first entity to represent the insurance sector and promote its development. The Federation has been led by pioneers in the insurance sector.
JIF's vision is to pioneer in offering high-quality insurance services to develop the insurance sector locally and regionally. Its mission focuses on improving the insurance profession and cooperating with relevant parties to develop the local insurance industry. JIF pursues various objectives outlined in its regulation, such as safeguarding the interests of its members, increasing awareness about insurance, organizing professional insurance seminars and conferences, conducting studies and research, and supporting technical cooperation among its members
