Jin Lab

Jin Lab is a pioneering research facility focused on advancing the fields of molecular imaging and therapy through innovative molecular and cellular engineering. Located within the prestigious Molecular Imaging Innovations Institute at Weill Cornell Medicine, the lab employs a blend of rational design and directed evolution to create novel biopharmaceuticals. Key contributions include the development of new antibody formats optimized for molecular imaging and bispecific recognition, as well as the modification of T cells for the expression of chimeric antigen receptors (CAR) and novel T-cell receptors (TCR).

Utilizing state-of-the-art methods in molecular biology, biochemistry, and imaging technologies—such as MRI, CT, and PET—Jin Lab is at the forefront of medical research. Notably, their engineered CAR T cells aimed at treating aggressive and refractory thyroid cancer are currently undergoing evaluation in a phase I clinical trial.
