About JIVE
The European VLBI Network (EVN) is a premier global network of radio telescopes, strategically located across Europe, Asia, South Africa, and Puerto Rico. Renowned for providing the most sensitive Very Long Baseline Interferometry (VLBI) observations, the EVN excels in analyzing cosmic radio sources with extreme precision across a wide frequency range, from 1. 4 GHz to 45 GHz, and even up to 90 GHz in some instances.
Affiliated with the Joint Institute for VLBI ERIC (JIVE), the organization not only processes data, but also offers expert support to astronomers worldwide. JIVE ensures accessibility for researchers by guiding them through the entire observational process, from initial concepts to completed studies. Open to all astronomers, the EVN conducts three proposal calls each year and invites Target of Opportunity submissions anytime.
