JM Ecology Limited is an independent ecological consultancy formed in 2022 and based in the East Midlands. It supports private and public sector clients across England and Wales, providing ecological advice for projects ranging from household planning applications to strategic allocations. The company combines technical expertise with a practical, personable approach, helping clients meet project objectives while delivering gains for biodiversity.

Its services include habitat and protected species surveys, such as assessments for bats, great crested newts, water voles, otters, badgers, birds, reptiles and dormice. Habitat work includes UK Habitat Classification, Phase 1 and NVC surveys, river condition assessments, soil sampling and BREEAM assessments. JM Ecology prepares reports including Preliminary Ecological Appraisals, Ecological Impact Assessments, Biodiversity Net Gain reports, environmental statement ecology chapters, management plans and method statements. The team also advises on Biodiversity Net Gain from concept design through habitat monitoring, supports protected species mitigation licences, and provides Ecological Clerk of Works services on construction sites.
