About JNFoundation
The JN Foundation is the charitable arm of the Jamaica National Group, established in 1990 to manage the Group’s philanthropic work and contribute to Jamaica’s development. It describes itself as an innovative development agency focused on creating positive community impact through partnerships with JN Group subsidiaries, nonprofit organisations, international aid agencies, local funders and other private-sector partners. Its programmes address social empowerment, education, financial literacy, skills and personal development, health, environmental sustainability and road safety.
Initiatives include Action Jamaica, the Social Enterprise Boost Initiative (SEBI), The Source, iLead, Science Genius Jamaica and JN Scholarships, alongside water adaptation and road safety projects. The Foundation also supports community projects through grant funding, offers resources for grant seekers, and encourages volunteering. Its website provides project information, publications, toolkits, research and application forms for grants and volunteer opportunities.
