About Indeed
Indeed is on a mission to bridge the gap between talent and opportunity, striving to help people secure meaningful jobs. One of their notable initiatives is Rising Voices, a program co-created with Lena Waithe and partners like Hillman Grad Productions and 271 Films. Rising Voices is dedicated to spotlighting and fostering stories crafted by Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) filmmakers and storytellers.
Through mentorship and support from an advisory panel comprising industry experts such as Justin Chon and Melina Matsoukas, selected filmmakers gain invaluable guidance in their creative pursuits. Rising Voices produces short films that explore the evolving landscape of work, showcasing diverse perspectives and experiences. The program emphasizes the importance of storytelling as a means to inspire, educate, and empower underrepresented voices in the film industry. By investing in these narratives, Indeed reinforces its commitment to creating a more equitable job market while amplifying the stories that reflect the rich diversity of our society.
