西照寺

Saishoji is a Jodo Buddhist temple in Shitadera-cho, Tennoji Ward, Osaka. Rooted in the Jodo tradition, the temple welcomes visitors seeking information about its history, annual events, memorial services, and cemetery. Saishoji is especially known as a temple for memorializing dolls. Its doll memorial service offers people a way to express gratitude and say farewell to dolls through Buddhist memorial rites.

The temple also provides information about eternal memorial care for people who have no one able to visit their grave, or who cannot make visits themselves. Saishoji explains this as a burial arrangement in which a temple or cemetery manages the grave and conducts memorial observances on their behalf. Located in central Osaka, the temple is described as being surrounded by greenery throughout the year, and its convenient location makes it easier for families to visit and pay their respects. Saishoji also offers cemetery plots and grave-related information, and invites inquiries about these options. The temple shares updates on special events and visitor access.
