Austin Sandy Architects

Austin Sandy Architects is a collaborative design studio focused on creating purposeful spaces shaped by their locations, materials, and structures. Its work begins with an understanding of place and combines craft, context, and thoughtful dialogue to guide each project. The studio serves clients across several areas of architecture, bringing particular experience to union-focused facilities, modular housing, and custom residential design.

With experience across more than 15 union-focused facilities, Austin Sandy understands the spatial, operational, and workflow requirements that support effective training environments. Its modular housing work explores how modular construction can deliver multifamily buildings with greater speed, precision, and consistency. For custom homes, the studio’s principals draw on extensive experience in single-family residential architecture, treating each project as a personal collaboration shaped around how clients live.

The studio’s portfolio also includes the Live Oak Farm Pavilion, designed to support community gatherings at a sustainable organic farm, and a modular mass-timber housing prototype for small urban lots, recognized by Dwell for its light and outdoor space.
