Johannis Hospiz

Johannis Hospiz is a hospice in Elmshorn, Germany, operated by Johannis Hospiz gGmbH. It describes itself as a house of life, supporting guests through the final stage of life with care centred on their individual needs. The team is available around the clock and provides personal, compassionate support, while also involving relatives and friends closely in the experience. The hospice aims to make each guest’s time there as good as possible and to ensure that people and their families do not have to face the journey alone.

The building and its surroundings are designed to offer both connection and quiet. Guest rooms, terraces, a winter garden, a room of silence and communal spaces provide different settings for rest or time together. A landscaped stone garden, with a water feature and shelter among nature, offers an outdoor place for reflection and calm. Johannis Hospiz also provides information about admission and costs, contact and travel arrangements, and support for relatives, families and people experiencing bereavement.
