Johnnie Candle

Johnnie Candle is a professional angler and fishing guide with decades of experience on lakes and coastal waters across the United States and Canada. His fishing career began in 1988, working as a first mate for his father’s Lake Erie charter business. After earning a U.S. Coast Guard Master of the Great Lakes captain’s license and a marketing degree from the University of Akron, Candle pursued tournament angling and developed expertise across a range of fisheries, including trout, salmon, walleye, perch, and pike.

Today, Johnnie Candle offers guided fishing adventures on Devils Lake, North Dakota, and in the Gulf of Mexico near Carrabelle, Florida. His services include fishing trips, walleye schools, educational seminars, and appearances at sporting and trade shows.
