Jókay Foundation is a Hungarian charitable organization established in 2003 by members of the Jókay family living in Hungary. Created in memory of Lajos Jókay, it works to support the spiritual, intellectual, and material well-being of the Hungarian community, while caring for Hungarian culture and helping people in need both within Hungary and beyond its borders.
The foundation’s programs include scholarships for students at the Pápa Reformed College and support for Hungarian education, culture, and local communities abroad. Its initiatives have included assistance for students in Técső, support for the Hungarian congregation in Sárvásár, and the construction and renovation of a community cultural center in Magyarvista. It also supports cultural and community projects connected with Kalotavár and Pápa.
Individuals can contribute through donations, including online credit-card payments, or by directing one percent of their personal income tax to the foundation. Jókay Foundation shares news, reports, and updates about its programs and scholarship recipients, helping donors follow the impact of their support.
