Jokilaaksojen Psoriasisyhdistys ry is a local Finnish association serving people affected by psoriasis and others interested in its work across the Kala, Lesti and Pyhäjoki river valleys. The association shares information with members and the public, promotes awareness of psoriasis, and creates opportunities for connection, wellbeing and participation. Its activities include member meetings, social events, recreational outings and health information sessions, including lectures by medical professionals. The association also introduces members to the work of Psoriasisliitto, Finland’s psoriasis association, and shares relevant publications and information.

To support members’ physical activity, the association reimburses part of the cost of an eligible 10-visit exercise pass once a year. Members can also rent home-use UVB light therapy lamps and a Psora-C comb for scalp treatment; people with atopic dermatitis may rent the lamps as well. The group organizes local events, such as swimming and bowling gatherings, and welcomes prospective members to take part.
