The JonCade Thomas Clemons Memorial Scholarship Fund, founded in 2007 by Andre’ Clemons in honor of his late son, JonCade, aims to perpetuate the spirit of kindness and positivity that JonCade embodied. This scholarship fund serves to support students from the Acadiana area who demonstrate academic excellence, strong citizenship, and a commitment to making a meaningful impact in their communities.

Each year, the fund provides significant financial assistance to deserving students, awarding two scholarships valued at $24,000 and eight scholarships at $6,000 for use over eight semesters. These scholarships are available to high school graduates pursuing their education at colleges, community colleges, or technical schools within Louisiana. The selection committee, composed of experienced educators, evaluates applicants based on their academic achievements, financial needs, and participation in extracurricular and community activities. The scholarship program is inclusive and welcomes applicants regardless of race, religion, gender, age, or national origin, promoting equal opportunities for all.
