Joost Verdonkschot

Joost Verdonkschot Training and Counseling provides counseling for men in Amsterdam, alongside workshops and men’s groups. The practice offers a supportive, non-judgmental setting where men can explore their feelings, needs, and personal experiences, including the pressures of living up to others’ expectations. Its approach invites clients to consider beliefs such as needing to manage everything alone, always appear strong, or keep difficult emotions to themselves. Through counseling, men can examine these assumptions and explore the value of expressing their inner world and accepting support.

The workshops bring together groups of up to six men to share what they encounter in life as men today. Participants have space to tell their stories openly while others listen with attention and respect. Feedback is offered when wanted, with the intention of helping members learn and grow.
