About Jordan Dann || Psychoanalyst
Jordan Dann is a licensed psychoanalyst and relationship coach specializing in somatic therapy and couples therapy. With years of experience, Jordan works with individuals and couples in NYC and virtually around the world. No matter what challenges you may be facing, Jordan believes that therapy is for everyone and that you don't have to face it alone.
While Jordan's practice is currently full and not accepting new clients, there is an opportunity to explore Jordan's Relationship Transformation course, which offers a comprehensive approach to personal growth and transformation. Jordan's own personal journey has played a significant role in shaping their approach to therapy. From a young age, Jordan was deeply interested in theater, using it as a means to better understand oneself and others.
Through therapy, Jordan discovered the impact of their childhood relationships on their adult relationships and took personal responsibility for their actions and choices. This newfound self-awareness led to increasingly healthier personal and professional relationships. What sets Jordan's therapy approach apart is their incorporation of somatic therapy, which has proven transformative for many individuals.
It goes beyond talk therapy to address the physical aspects of trauma, helping individuals establish a healthier relationship with themselves. Jordan's credentials include being a certified NYS Psychoanalyst, Gestalt therapist, Imago Relationship therapist, and Somatic Experiencing practitioner. Clients describe Jordan as supportive, warm, funny, accepting, and direct.
Working with Jordan is a collaborative process, where the therapeutic style is playful, respectful, engaging, and dynamic. Through various techniques such as mindfulness and Gestalt therapy, Jordan helps clients develop self-awareness and expand their sense of self. Jordan is committed to their work, continuously staying updated with the latest research and trends in the mental health field to provide the best possible care.
In addition to their practice, Jordan also contributes to the field as an Associate Faculty member with the Gestalt Associates for Psychotherapy. They offer case consultation and teach courses and workshops to emerging clinicians. Jordan also shares relationship advice and clinical musings on their Instagram account, @jordandann
